West Eugene Post Office
Eugene has built several new post offices, but they did not need to destroy the post office landmark that has been such an important part of Eugene's past.

Downtown Post Office
The old post office in downtown Eugene, still stands as tall and as proud as ever. It is just that today she stands tall and proud for a lot more people.

Eugene Train Depot
The old train depot has just undergone major rebuilding, but they did not take away her pride.
While the train station is now all updated on the inside.

On the outside she still looks as she did so many year ago when she welcomed new visitors,
or old residents home.

A Rail From The Past
As you stand behind the old train depot, if you look to the north, you will see
the old Shelton, McMurphey house that looks just as it did more than 100 years ago.

Shelton House
On the side of Skinner's Butte, is the old Shelton, McMurphey House. This old house has been a landmark in Eugene, for just about
as long as Eugene has been in Oregon. The old house is just across the rails from the old railway station.

The occupants of this
old house, could see from their living room, as the old steam engines would bring materials and visitors to their new city. They have been watching the trains, and visitors arrive since Eugene Franklin Skinner
founded Eugene in 1862.
Eugene Bus Station
Eugene has just finished a brand new, ultra modern bus station, right across the street from the brand new ultra modern library.

Eugene In The Morning
There is not a city in the world that has more beautiful mornings than Eugene. Although Eugene does get its share of rain,
there are several advantages of the rain.

The grass in greener, the trees are taller, and the air is fresher. After
a nice rain you can smell the aroma of the many beautiful plants that are everywhere in Eugene.

Eugene From Skinner
If you take the short road up to Skinner's Butte, you will pass the rock wall that is so popular to
the local rock climbers. Once you arrive to the top of the Butte, you can see for miles in three directions.

The University

Eugene is a university town and the university brings thousands of new young future leaders to the area.
The university population is a very important contributor to the economy of Eugene. The large university campus
is modern and up to date, but still represents the structures of its past.

GO DUCKS!

In Eugene, everyone is passionate about the Oregon Ducks.
When there is a ball game happening, the businesses might
as well roll up their carpets. Everyone is either at the
game, listening to the game on the radio, or in a bad mood
because they weren't able to go to the game.

Autzen Stadium
|
The people of Eugene are proud of their new stadium,
and when a duck makes a touchdown, intercepts the ball
or gains a yard, you can hear the fans from West Eugene,
all the way to Springfield.

Sunrise On Conger Street
|
You can see a beautiful sunrise just about any day
of the year in Eugene. This one was captured on
Conger Street in front of the clock museum.
